This Bertram 30 is in for a Cummins repower.

30’ Bertram Moppie

This 30’ Bertram Moppie is in the Niemiec shop for a Cummins repower.  She will get a pair of Cummins 6BTA5.9 315HP Repower engines with ZF220A transmissions.  This Bertram was bought as a project boat by her current owner and he is very excited to follow her transformation beginning at Niemiec Marine, Inc.


Old Coot, 27’ H & H

This 27’ H & H is in for new power. She is a commercial lobster boat that has been very well maintained by her owner. While she is in, she will get a custom instrument panel dashboard box, new mounts and engine beds. She will get some new hydraulics and other maintenance during the job.


New bridge deck to replace the existing deck.

Off The Road, 39’ Mainship

This 39’ Mainship is in for a new bridge deck. Her original deck coring has been compromised and needs replacing. The crew will be replacing the existing Balsa Core with a closed cell core to prevent and future water problems. The yard will be using a special color match gel-coat to blend the transition of the old deck to the new deck. When she is done the repair will be flawless.


Extensive paint work to the deck and hull

Rosita, 55’ Custom Aluminum Sailboat

This 55’ aluminum sailboat has had an extensive refit to prepare her for a long distance blue water trip in search of whales. The Niemiec Marine team prepared her 10 years ago for her journey with much custom interior and exterior reworking. She is back 10 years later with the same owner for new deck paint and hull Awl-Grip.

Cotton Club, 36’ Pace

This 36’ Pace is in for a custom Awl-Grip hull paint job (custom color to match old Pace gel-coat exactly at the owner’s request), as well as a new pair of Crusader 8.1HO engines. While the Niemiec crew is doing the main engine repower, we are also replacing the original Onan genset with a new Onan generator. Her engine room will get fresh paint and preventative hose and hardware replacement during the refit.


conversion to dry exhaust

Drake, 38’ H & H

This commercial lobster boat with John Deere power is undergoing a major conversion from wet exhaust to dry exhaust. Niemiec Marine is fabricating a new stainless steel exhaust system including new stainless piping and a new stainless muffler. The yard has had to fiberglass over the existing wet exhaust port in the transom and gel-coat the old exhaust outlet to match the transom, as well as remove the entire wet exhaust system. The new dry system includes a custom vertical fiberglass exhaust channel to encase the new stainless exhaust system that leads to the muffler on the cabin house. Her owner should be ready for sea trials shortly.


Crusader Repower

Calabash, 31’ Tiara

Calabash is in the midst of converting from carbureted Crusader engine power to model 8.1HO fuel injected Crusader power. This is one of several repowers taking place this winter by the Niemiec crew. This repower requires the deck to be removed. As most repower jobs, the bilge on Calabash was cleaned and painted prior to the new engines being installed. The owners of Calabash are loyal long time Niemiec customers that are very excited about the new engine performance of their priced possession.
